Objective: Students will be able to evaluate an author’s use of two points-of-view in order to describe the effect it has on their understanding of a story.

Do-Now: What similarities can you see between the way Ruth was raised and the way she raises her children?  What differences can you see?  How does Ruth compare to your mother or grandmother?  Explain.

Today: 1) Review questions for Chapters 4 & 5 of "The Color of Water."

2) Class will read Chapter 6 of "The Color of Water" and answer the review questions for the chapter.

3) Read Chapter 7 of "The Color of Water" and complete the review questions for the chapter.
