Objective: Students will be able to describe Cal’s personal struggles in order to predict how his problems will affect the team.

Do-Now: Do you believe the team can be successful without Cal's help?  Explain why or why not, giving examples from the book of things Cal has done to either help/hurt the team.

Today: 1) Go over questions for Chapter 6 and the first half of Chapter 7.

2) Class will begin reading the second half of Chapter 7 and begin the review questions for the chapter.

3) Finish reading Chapter 7 and complete the review questions.

Exit Slip: It appears Cal has gone back to his old ways.  Why do you believe it is difficult for Cal to stay on the right path?  Do you believe Cal's mistakes are motivating Lonnie to become better or worse?  Explain.

Homework: Read Chapter 8 and complete the review questions for the chapter.
