Do-Now: Describe the similarities you've noticed so far between "Rocky" and "The Contender."
Today: 1) Finish watching "Rocky"
2) Mini Essay: Was "Rocky" inspired by "The Contender?" In an essay of about 15-20 sentences, describe the similarities/differences between the movie and the book. After your are finished comparing the two, explain whether or not you believe the movie "Rocky" was inspired by "The Contender," supporting your beliefs with your reasoning. This essay is due by FRIDAY, April 4 and is worth 20 points (10 for length, 5 for similarities/differences, 5 for conclusion.)
