Today: 1) Test on "Night" and "The Boy in Striped Pajamas."
2) Extra-Credit Opportunity (Due Monday, November 4): Essay on The Loss of Innocence in "Night" and "The Boy in Striped Pajamas." Both Elie and Bruno are children at the beginning of their stories. Both characters experience things that cause them to lose this childhood innocence. Compare/contrast Elie's loss of innocence in "Night" with Bruno's in "The Boy in Striped Pajamas," giving specific examples from each. Your essay should be at least 20 sentences long and will be worth 20 extra credit points.
Homework: "Night" Project and Extra Credit due Monday, November 4.
