will be able to evaluate evidence in “The Giver” in order to determine if
Jonas’ society represents a utopia or dystopia.
Do-Now: If
given a choice, would you want to live in a society like Jonas’? Consider the pros and cons and explain why
you would or wouldn’t want to live in such a world.
Today: 1) Go over Exit Slips from Monday
2) Go over questions from Chapters 19-20.
3) Class will read Chapter 21 and complete the review questions.
4) Read Chapter 22 and complete the review questions.
Exit Slip: What do you predict will happen to Jonas and Gabriel? Explain.
Homework: Read Chapter 23 and complete the review questions. Test on "The Giver" on FRIDAY!!!
