Exit Slip: JuJu blames Miss Saunders for Charlese's bad grades because she claims Miss Saunders is mean to Charlese.  If a student gets bad grades, who should be blamed---the student or the teacher?  Why?  Have you ever had an experience where you believe a teacher gave you a bad grade because he/she didn't like you?  Explain.

Homework: Essay - Miss Saunders tells Tai the reason she tries to be perfect is to make up for her imperfect looks.  Tai warns Miss Saunders that striving to be perfect will ruin her. Do you agree that striving for perfection is a bad idea, or do you feel that it's good to always aim for perfection, even if you might not attain it?  Compose an essay in which you argue your stance, giving at least 2-3 examples to support your argument.  Your examples can be from your own life, from books, from history, from movies, or from pop culture.  Your essay should be at least twenty full sentences and should be broken up into paragraphs: 1 paragraph for your intro, 2-3 paragraphs for your examples (1 paragraph for each), and 1 paragraph for your conclusion.  This essay is worth 20 points = 10 points for length, 5 points for examples, 5 points for organization.
